You guys, Aquaman is legit the best superhero.

Or reboot!Aquaman anyway, because that is the extent of my comics knowledge, but LOOK:

 1. He is like way super mellow, except people make fun of him for being a lame superhero ALL THE TIME and he tries to shrug it off even though it is like totes hurting his feelings, because he isn’t entitled, he just wants to help out.

 2. He has a ladyfriend named Mera who’s a badass waterbender and has a reasonably functional costume, and they’re in an actual committed happy relationship instead of just USTing or Nice Guy angsting all over the place.

 3. They are on EQUAL FOOTING, and when they show up at places and people are like “Look! It’s Aquaman and Aquawoman!” Aquaman is always like “Her name is MERA” all annoyed that they’re trying to make her just his satellite.

 4. He does the Tenth Doctor “woe for I have killed a species” thing (despite Mera doing the companion thing and being like “but dude they were KILLING EVERYONE”), but it’s quiet and he doesn’t slow-mo mainpain about it.

 5. THE ARC CONCLUDES WITH HIM AND MERA GETTING A GOLDEN RETRIEVER. I am not even joking.

 So now I have to decide whether I want to actually become a comics-buying person to follow The Continued Adventures of Aquaman, Mera and Puppy, of if I should pretend this is the end because from what I understand, comics inevitably get super weird and faily.
